2015 International Game Day!

It’s finally October, which means that the day we’ve all been waiting for is finally almost here: International Game Day @ Fletcher Library! We have a lot of amazing new things planned for this year’s game day, most importantly that the event will now last the entire weekend!

That’s right, we’re expanding to bring you even more gaming! This year Fletcher will hold its International Game Day on November 21st from 10:00AM to 6:00PM and 22nd from 12:00PM to 8:00PM. Check back regularly to see what new things are in store, or browse our ever expanding collection of tabletop games at http://libguides.asu.edu/games to prepare for a fun filled weekend in November.

I wanna be, the very best!

Prepare for trouble, and make it double!

Hey there fellow Pokemon Masters, we have some awesome news for you! The Pokemon League, a branch of Team Rocket AZ will be attending IGD at Fletcher library both Saturday AND Sunday. If you think you’re a true Pokemon master make sure to bring your Nintendo 3DS and the strongest Pokemon team you have to battle the elite four and other world renown trainers IN PERSON!

Thank you!

First, we’d like to thank everyone that attended the event, volunteers and visitors alike! Because of massive flooding after a break in the libraries water main, we almost had to cancel the event altogether, which would have been tragic. However, thanks to the hard work and dedication from our amazing volunteers and student organizations, Fletcher Libraries first annual International Games Day was still on and was a success! Everything was awesome, but mostly, everything was cool because we’re part of a team! A total of 424 people visited us throughout the day, making this one of our biggest and successful events in recent years! Check out our Gallery to see pictures from the event, and mark us down on your calendar for next year when the event will be bigger and better than ever!

Last but not least, we’d like to give a very special thanks to all the volunteers who helped make the event a success: ASUW Cosclub, Jesse James Comics, AZ MIB, Konami Gaming, Imperial Outpost Games, The Gaming Zone, and more.
