Less than one month to Fletcher Library International Game Day! With the event looming so close, we thought it would be nice for a little update! Let’s take a look at just a few of the many things that’ll be going on Saturday, November 15th from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- The computing commons will be setting up and configuring 30 macs, exclusively for gaming!
- Roughly 5 different older and next gen consoles will all be hooked to 50” TV’s for single and multiplayer games of all kinds
- At least 10 large gaming tables will be set up for tabletop and card games of all types
- Fletcher will be ordering 24 pizzas, free and first come first serve for all who attend
- ASUW Cosclub and other local costuming groups from around the valley will be in full costume and sharing their costume making tips for anyone interested. Everyone else is also invited to come in full costume
- ASUW Cosclub will also be providing a full Minecraft themed area for photos including an 8 foot ender dragon, cows, pigs, endermen, ores of all types, and props
- The library will be providing a dedicated Minecraft Hunger Games server that can host up to 32 players at a time. Visitors can connect using their own personal laptops or use our dedicated PCs.
- Two volunteers will be chosen on the day of the event to compete against other libraries across the world in a Minecraft Hunger Games Tournament
- Nintendo DS street passing all day long
